Roofing in Sicamous

Channel cabins and houses that sit empty for months. The drive from Salmon Arm is the long one. Call now.

Sicamous is at the east end of Shuswap Lake, where the channel runs through town. Houseboats, marina lots, and houses back from the water. It is a longer trip than Canoe, Tappen, or Sorrento. Travel can be part of the price. We will say so before we come.

Cabins empty for months

A lot of places are shut from fall until someone comes back for the summer. A leak can stain a ceiling all winter. When you open the place, look up before you look at the dock. Don't climb a wet roof to find the hole.

Put a bucket under the drip if water is coming in, and call. Tell us if it's a cabin nobody has been to since fall. We'll check the attic too. The waiting steps are on theleak page.

Wind on the channel

The channel funnels wind. Ridge caps and flashing on the water side take it. Shingles in the yard after a night of wind arestorm damage. Ice along the eave in a cold January is usually an ice dam, not a hole you can see from the ground. That's thesnow and ice page. Don't chip the ice with an axe.

Say Sicamous when you call

"The lake" could be Sorrento, Blind Bay, or here. Say Sicamous, and say whether you are in town, on the channel, or up a back road. A gate code and a dog in the yard belong in that first call.

If a wire or a service mast came down with the storm, stay back and call BC Hydro at 1-888-769-3766 before anyone is on a ladder. The other lake towns are on theShuswap page. Typical ranges are on thecost page. We confirm the price before we start. Call +1 (236) 835-2025.
