Moss and gutters in Salmon Arm

Green on the north side, and gutters full of needles from the firs. Call us and we'll come take a look.

A gutter packed with pine needles and wet leaves, with moss along the shingles
Gutters packed with needles hold water against the fascia and send it over the edge.

While you wait

  • Don't climb a wet or mossy roof to scrape it. Moss is slippery. Take photos from the ground.
  • Don't go up a ladder in the wind to reach a gutter. If the ladder can't sit flat, wait for us.
  • If a gutter is overflowing into the wall, put a bin under the drip inside until it's cleared.
  • Needles in the valley are a different spot from moss on the open slope. Say which one you see when you call.
  • If the shingles under the moss are curling and bald, cleaning won't fix that. That's areplacement.

When to call

Call when the north slope is green, the gutters are packed, or water is coming over the edge instead of down the downspout. We clear what we can see and tell you if the shingles underneath are still sound. We confirm the price before we start.
